The 2022 International Training Workshop on BDS Technologies and Applications in Countries along the Belt and Road
1. Background
2022 marks the 2nd anniversary of the BeiDou Navigation Satellite System providing global service. Since its launch, the system has been operating stably, expanding applications and deepening cooperation and has been committed to providing high-quality services to users worldwide, complementing and promoting digital infrastructure in the Belt and Road countries and regions to support the green development of the initiative.
The International Training Workshop on BDS Technologies and Applications along the Belt and Road Countries and Regions is an international technical training program that aims to share the satellite navigation location services and the application achievements of BDS developed for senior managers and experts of satellite navigation systems from foreign countries. The 2-week workshop has been held for 4 consecutive years since 2018 and has benefited trainees from 48 Belt and Road countries and regions, gradually becoming an important platform to deliver BeiDou technology to Belt and Road countries and regions and promote international exchange and cooperation.

6. Target Students and Training Methods
l Target students: foreign students from countries along the Belt and Road
l Training methods: online + offline
Online:
The online training targets senior management of global satellite navigation units, personnel from universities and scientific research institutes, and key personnel in charge of enterprises in related fields etc from countries along the Belt and Road. The number of online trainees is not limited.
Offline:
The offline training mainly targets personnel from the embassies of countries along the Belt and Road and international students in China, in-service managers and backup managers of scientific research departments of enterprises and public institutions, colleges and universities and research institutes in satellite navigation and other relevant fields, as well as personnel in charge of industrial application departments and administrative and technical personnel in the field of satellite navigation. The number of offline trainees is limited to only 20.
For the selected and eligible offline foreign trainees, the accommodation and food costs, training fees and accident insurance fees during the training period will all be waived.
