Starting a New Journey of BeiDou Application in State-owned Enterprises and Writing a New Chapter of High-quality Development of BeiDou
--BeiDou Application Development Forum for State-owned Enterprises was Successfully Held
On May 27, by taking the opportunity of the 12th China Satellite Navigation Conference, the Beidou Application Development Forum for State-owned Enterprises was successfully held by BeiDou Industry Cooperative Development Platform for State-owned Enterprises in Nanchang, the beautiful City of Heroes.
As the mainstay and backbone of national defense construction and economic and social development, state-owned enterprises are the mainstay and backbone of BDS construction and stable operation, and the “main force” of BeiDou application technology research and development, product manufacturing, system integration and application promotion. The Forum becomes the first in the history of CSNC to start a brand-new pattern and further demonstrate the missions and responsibilities of state-owned enterprises of building the place where BeiDou technologies are born and leading the development of the modern industry chain of BeiDou.
The Forum was also held at time of the 1st anniversary of the establishment of the BeiDou Industry Cooperative Development Platform for State-owned Enterprises. The Forum started with a summary review of the fruitful results achieved by the Platform in the past year in the form of videos.
In order to fully demonstrate the achievements of BDS applications made by state-owned enterprises in key national industry sectors and major infrastructure construction, the Forum released the top ten typical cases of BeiDou applications in 2020 selected by the BeiDou Industry Cooperative Development Platform for State-owned Enterprises.
In order to further unite industrial strength, achieve win-win cooperation and continuously deepen the development of BeiDou applications, all members of the Beidou Industry Cooperative Development platform launched together the initiative of “Uniting Efforts, Win-Win Cooperation” to deepen BeiDou application. Yang Dongpeng, Deputy Secretary-general of the Platform, read out the Initiative, promising that members of the Platform would focus on strengthening the “co-construction, sharing and integration” of BeiDou application infrastructure by relying on the civil service platforms such as GBAS, SBAS and short message communication built by major spcial BeiDou projects, and jointly promoting the large-scale applications of BeiDou.
Gou Ping, Director of Science and Technology Innovation and Social Responsibility Bureau of State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council, Ran Chengqi, Director of China Satellite Navigation Office, and Qu Xiaohua, Deputy Director of Civil-Military Integration Development Commission Office of Jiangxi Provincial CPC attended the Forum and delivered speeches. Zhou Jian, Member of Board of Directors of China North Industries Group Corporation Limited and Deputy Secretary of CPC China North Industries Group Corporation Limited Committee, made a speech on behalf of BeiDou Industry Cooperative Development Platform for State-owned Enterprises.
Representatives of relevant enterprises and experts made special presentations on the status quo and development plan of BeiDou applications for state-owned enterprises, and discussed the future of the development of BeiDou applications for state-owned enterprises together.
This Forum was jointly guided by Science and Technology Innovation and Social Responsibility Bureau of State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council and China Satellite Navigation Office, organized by BeiDou Industry Cooperative Development Platform for State-owned Enterprises and undertaken by China Institute of BeiDou Applications in Weapons, with nearly 200 representatives from more than 40 state-owned enterprises participating in the event.
The BeiDou Industry Cooperative Development Platform for State-owned Enterprises is a public welfare organization dedicated to the application and industrial development of BeiDou, initiated by state-owned enterprises, guided and promoted by State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council and China Satellite Navigation Office, and with the strong support of relevant national departments. The platform was established on May 14, 2020, with China North Industries Group Corporation Limited as the first director unit. Up to now, the number of members of the Platform has grown to 60 units, covering 45 state-owned enterprises, becoming an indispensable and important force in the development of BeiDou application and industrialization.
